This gave me all my games from that folder back, as the folder is now correctly associated with Steam again. I started an install of one of the games that was now missing from my Steam games library and selected the option for a new Steam folder and directed it to my renamed "SteamLibrary2". When I reloaded Steam the games from that folder where missing. I currently use 3 install locations for my Steam games, one of them is "Steam Library 2", I just renamed it without spaces "SteamLibrary2". If you choose to rename an existing folder Steam folder, below are some instructions to reassociate the renamed folder with Steam. Make sure to check Note 3 at the bottom of this post, they're all things I had done as part of earlier trouble shooting, before I found Acheron's post. Much respect for this simple fix.įollow the instructions in the above link, you will be up and running in no time flat. But after some serious searching and trouble shooting, I came across an awesome post from Steam user Acheron. I was having a great deal of trouble getting this game to run.
